Spafford Chicago Concert reviews
Good mix of songs including all of the new album!
"The stage set up was pretty cool with an orb above the band displaying awesome imagery. I heard someone say it was designed by the same guy who did Roger Waters The Wall. I really enjoyed their new album, making it one of their best in a long time. Sometimes, I am frustrated when a band skips some of their new favorite songs of mine at a show. This wasn't a problem at this concert; I got to listen to every new track from beginning to end! Also, I've been to shows where bands play the exact same playlist each time they come to town, which is annoying. I prefer hearing different songs whenever I see a band again. If a band has been around for twenty/thirty years, they should vary their playlist with the wide selection of songs they have. I'm glad they don't repeat the same songs. Other notable tracks were Space Oddity and a rock version of Ava Adore. I loved hearing it live. The opening band, Amberlin, was a pleasant surprise that night, and I must explore more of their discs."
